2004 Eastern Idaho Pumpkin Pickin' Party Results

This was the largest gathering of pumpkins that Idaho has ever seen. A fun time was had by all. The hope is get more interest going in this hobby. Prizes were not significant. If sponsorship could be found then prizes might be more substantial but that would mean this would have to move out of the backyard to the big time.

Just How Big was this weigh-off. Consider this. The previous top ten average for the state of Idaho 586 pounds. The average of the top ten at todays weigh-off was 527 pounds. The all time top ten average for Idaho is now 668 pounds. I may have fallen short of one goal this season which was to set a new personal best, but I accomplished a secondary goal of mine to to "own" the top ten. All pumpkins on the list have been grown by me. (or my son)
