| 2009 Pumpkin Season Journal | ||||||
| Below are links to my growing season. I find it useful to divide it into months. I have been less diligent this year in keeping the journal up. | ||||||
| Preseason- Not really a time to rest. April- The hope of the new year. May- not much seems to happen this month but the ground work is being laid. June-If you don't have the growth here you won't make the party. July- when you begin to realize that you may have messed up for the year. Aghast (August)- time to start planning for next year September- I can't wait for this year to be over End of year- Usually I do a whole page devoted to this subject but not this year. I will summarize it by saying it was my worst year ever. Most of it was my fault with the herbicide that affected the entire patch. Next year will hopefully be better, but-- because I spent less time working with the pumpkins I was able to other things (primarily with the kids) and that has been a good thing. At the present time my interest is waning in growing pumpkins. I suspect that by spring I will be ready to go again but for now its hunting season. Between the poor year and the difficulty with the web site I have not keep this up to date as I have in the past. |
